Not a great buy in 2016

Lenovo launched this phone pretty late in India. It was definately a good buy at the time when mi4 and OPO were ruling the market. But today I wud have to think many times before recommending this phone to anyone.

Build and design: The phone is built out of metal and no doubt looks stylish. But a big gribe is its extermely slipery. So dont forget to put a case on this one.

Talking about display the display is I would say alright the viewing angles are goes the screen is a 1080 p screen so no issues regarding that but the issue that I have with the screen is that it heats up a lot during heavy tasks like gaming back.

Battery life: battery life on this device I would say is average nothing that stellar and not that poor that it will require you to constantly monitor it it can easily last a day but don’t expect it to last more than that.

Performance: here comes the worst thing about this phone this phone has Snapdragon 801 processor which is a very very old processor it used to come in phones that were launched in 2014 that time it was the flagship processor but now I don’t think it will be able to last you more than a year or so.Also this device has serious heating issues which also affects its life and the the life of its components inside.

If you talk about the camera camera I would say is below average the Moto G 4+ performs much better than this device both in artificial as well as Natural lighting despite this device having OIS, the stabilization during video recording is very poor many of the cheaper handsets perform much better in camera than this one, so if camera is one of your priorities don’t go for this device

Speaker: the speaker quality is ok but the volume level is a bit low that is what I feel talking about the audio output via the headphone jack it is decent.

Call quality: call quality of this device was absolutely flawless no complaints regarding that.

Updates: this device runs CyanogenMod 13 and updates would be from Cyanogen so I don’t think there should be any issue regarding that.

Price and competition this device is priced very competitive Lee in India at 13500 rupees but still I would say there are some better options available in the market such as Redmi  Note 3, Le 2 and Moto G 4+.

So I wud say if you plan to buy a phone for 1.5+ years look for something else.
