Take a minute to read this before you buy anything from lenskart. This company is FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!
Lenskart is fraud company. They cheat you in the name of brand and quality. I am narrating my case here so that atleast you will not suffer the way I did.
I bought premium okaley eye glass worth Rs.11000/- just before diwali by making full payment(my first mistake). As usual, after delay of one week, pacakge was delivered to me. On trying new glasses at home, I found that eyeglass are of some inferior quality and too big in size. Now, the box in which these eyeglass were packed called mono carton(some simple paper box) was quiet old and damaged, however I was blindly trusting lenskart ignoring the fact that, same old monocarton box would be used as a reason to cheat me in coming days.
After wearing eye glasses for few minutes I felt that quality and size did not match my order specifications. So, I called back and arranged for return and refund of payment. Please note that lenskart had informed me that I can return eye glasses within fifteen days, if not satisfied, and they had also informed that, before ordering, they will not be able to arrange home trial as mentioned on their website since these are premier glasses, howwever they assured me that if I m not satisfied with product after ordering I can return.
On 31st November I packed and returned these eye glasses in same box and same mono carton, which I had received from lenskart, through bluedart courier. On 2nd October I received call from lenskart informing that they have received product back and it has failed quality check. The reason for rejection is bizzare and pure lie. Now the reason is "monocarton box edge is damaged" please see pics below to understand what damage they are referring to.
I was pissed off with the reason and more because it was a blatant lie. I had not even used a pin to open it. As I said earlier box was old and used. Now lenskart informs me that since the edge of that piece of paper has been tampered, they will not replace eye glasses or refund money. I was shocked and felt betrayed.
On 5 November lenskart sent my glasses back packed in a similar box. I had not even recovered from first one, second shock of the week was ready. this time all my vouchers, prescription card, fitting tools were missing from the box. On calling customer care they behaved as if it was not at all an issue.
I m still struggling to get back all those accessories and will be taking legal action. God bless.i have few lawyers at home.
Friends, purpose of writing this incident is to make you aware that dont blindly believe on all such websites who cheat in the name of brands, discounts & quality. Lenskart is best among worst.
Now I have decided to fight it out not because they didnt change my eyeglasses or refund money but because they have lied and cheated me.
