This is the best book I ever read in my life! I can not read in French direct with Victor Hugo the great Author but read translated version of English and Gujarati( Dukhiyara M.M. Bhatt sir who really translated as per laymen’s understanding), though I am sluggish reader complete any book in 1 or 2 months but this such of bulky book I have completed in only 15 to 18 days only without any boring day or thought. It’s really invites the positive attitude remove all your negative and it affect on your character where exactly you stand. Every character is contemporary you can correlate with today’s situation with the description of Novel, Very simple writing style of Hugo catches the feeling of the characters you can visualize situation of French revolution, Poor people many more things etc.
Different characters OMG! What a man Jean Valgin was? really Hats off to Him, Other characters viz. Fantine, Kozet, Marius, Marius’s Grand Father, Jevert(Dedicated Police Man), Theornardiere, Pole Bishop, Medelin, Little Kid Gorvoche, Eponine, and many characters are still playing in this heartless or heart full world. Here In this world complete choice is yours which character you want to choose for to live your life. This Book is open the window from which you can see the real life, unpredictable story, teaching moral values, cunning people, ridiculous people, social issue of French People at that time, French History, religion, law and Justice, spirituality, dedication towards the kids(Jean Valgin & Fantine), dedication to the love(Marius & Kozet, Eponine).
In the beginning story in the book only fault of the person Jean Valgin was stole bread loaf for his sister and her children that time even justice gave him prison for 20 years and today’s world same situation arrive at our doorstep when poor people have find every difficulties, rules regulation, law and while rich person always overruled the law and justice. And even cunning people find the way out bur ideal person is Jean Valgin and there are also like Jean Valgin type of people are living in the world that’s might be the reason for smooth life. Jean Valgin was spiritual personality which gives us lots of inspiration towards the life how to handle the situation? How to continuous live with consciousness? All the answers of life’s problems will be found in this novel. Huge respect to Victor Hugo for their keen observation towards the life and pour his heart to the novel which is reflect in his books.
In this book Inspector Jevert is the character which connect to many of person in contemporary, who is such orthodox person who dedicated to his duty, ethics, moral value but can not have that much sensitivity towards the life.
Les Miserable is the book which reflects like mirror it is upon the person who want to connect with which character of life every characters are present in this books. Its excellent book five star.
