An awesome Movie you won't want to miss!!!

If you haven’t seen this movie already I won’t give you the ENTIRE story but I’ll give you the jist of the plot.

Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, each now feeling too old to be doing what they’re doing, try to stop the Chinese Triads from doing their illegal business in the U.S. Uncle Benny, Chinatown’s mob boss, has imported Chinese slaves to pay for an artist to create counterfeit Chinese currency which the Triads (led by Jet Li) will use to buy the Four Fathers (heads of the Triads) back from the Chinese military.

Chris Rock joins the team as a new cop and Rianne’s husband. Lorna (rene russo) is pregnant and considers marriage with Riggs (gibson), and Leo Getz is back, now as a private investigator.

I own this movie on video and its worth every penny I paid for it. I watch it over and over again and its just as good as the first time I watched it at the movies.

I admit that this movie did get MANY mixed reactions but I can only speak for myself. But sometimes I can’t help wondering if I’m the only one who felt this was the best Lethal Weapon to date?

I thought this movie had everything, comedy, action, suspense, etc. The chemistry between Gibson and Glover is incredible, and only adds to some of the greatness of this movie. Pesci also plays a great character, a fast-talking guy who surprises us at the end with his sincerity.

The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that there wasn’t enough of Russo in it. She adds to the cast, and is a shame they didn’t take advantage of her acting capabilities to the fullest extent.

Jet Li, I must say, was the show stealer. I was truly impressed with his martial arts, as well as his slick approach to everything he did. He was commendable as the bad guy, and I can’t wait to see more of him!!

Last, but not least, is Rock, who I believe did a great job, and fit well with the rest of the actors. He was as comical as I’d ever seen him, and the scene with him and Pesci about the cell phones was absolutely hilarious.

I haven’t laughed as much as I did by watching Lethal Weapon 4. This is a great movie to see, even if you haven’t seen any of the other ones. This will not disappoint you in my opinion!

Director Richard Donner obviously kept Chris Rock on a tight leash, letting him be vivid without the overbearing attention-getting tactics that have detracted from his charm in the past, which added to the smooth flow of the movie. Nothing was over-done nor under-done.

The characters are so ingratiating and pleasing to be around-- Riggs’ and Murtaugh’s good-hearted gentility is warm enough to melt anything or anyone in their paths.

My favorite scene in the movie was the car chase scene at the freeway, where the car Riggs and Murtaugh were driving crashed through an entire building was awesome.

This movie has the perfect mix of comedy, action and romance so if you haven’t seen it by now, what are you waiting for..? :o)
