Poor service at letsbuy. (updated& problem solved)

Before I mention my bitter experience I would like to congratulate letsbuy for becoming a successful ecommerce site over the past few years and making a huge profit.


But looks like this is going to end soon with your irresponsible customer service and by not being transparent with buyers. Next time I am choosing flipkart or koovs or ebay.in or some other better shopping website and would never return to your site.


To begin with I had ordered a sony xperia play mobile . The order details from my account section are as below.

Coming to my list of bitter experiences datewise regarding this order with proofs so all buyers are aware and will think twice before placing any order with letsbuy  :

Ordered my mobile.


Date: 28 - 10 - 2011:


After not getting any response after contacting customer care, I put up a review in mouthshut.com as the order had not been shipped till then.(check the below link for my mouthshut id kishwar555 and see the timely reply from letsbuy)

It was nice to see that the customer care member atleast responded through this medium even if they dint respond to my mails or dint pick up the customer care landline no like for all other customers who have posted bad reviews here and in N no of other forums about this site.

Order was dispatched through Aramex.


Date: 03-11-2011:


Product was delivered to me.


On checking the contents I found that they have striken out the "Sony Ericsson VH110 Bluetooth headset worth Rs 1549" in the bill and didnt send the item along.(proof scan of the bill is attached with this review)


Which kind of company strikes out orders in a customer’s bill without intimating him and dispatches the rest of the order. Even if the listing in your website was wrong dont you even have the courtesy to inform the customer reg it before dispatching.


Also "Branded Accessories Kit Worth Rs.1200" was not included in the package eventhough it was printed  in the bill. I got only the mobile and the reebok gym kit.


Immediately I raised request with the customer service mentioning the order id in subject as below.

Thanks. I recieved the courier today.


On checking the contents, I have found that there is no "Extra branded accessories kit worth Rs.1200" and "the bluetooth headset" that was mentioned in your listing is also not present. Also please tell me the reason why the bluetooth headset is striken out in the bill that you have sent me while this order status shows as bluetooth headset included in "my accounts" section


Please verify with your dispatch dept and send me the same.

It is Nov 11 and still I havent got any response from them.


Is this the way u service your customers?


Just replying with polite words and giving replies like "we value you", etc  are not going to take you to heights. It is your actions to address an issue and how soon you resolve it and satisfaction of every customer that counts.



A reply will come to this post from letsbuy.com similar to "Dear customer, sincere regrets for."


But sorry to say people are not going to get fooled any more with such replies. I am never going to shop in your site anymore.


If anyone of you is planning to buy things from letsbuy.com please be noted that your money is not at safe hands. There are better online shopping sites like koovs.com or ebay.in or flipkart.com with higher discount voucher codes and lesser price than letsbuy.com


You can get better discount voucher codes of these above mentioned sites from google search or from many indian discount forums and they give it off in their home page too and the rates are very competitive than letsbuy.com


Also main thing is that their customer service is excellent from my huge online shopping experience.


If you plan to buy any more product from letsbuy.com choose "Cash on Delivery" payment method so you can reject if the content of the package is not what is mentioned in their website.(rather than trusting your luck if you will get the same item or if it will arrive safe and keeping "fingers crossed")


Better dont buy from them anymore and choose some other e commerce website to do shopping.


I realize now it is 100% true how they have violated their code of ethics in treating customers.
