I bought this phone about a month ago. I have used it extensively as my primary phone so, I have quite a bit of idea about this device. So here is my review:
First lets talk about build&design: the phone has been built out of metal. And so look and feels like a premium phone. Anyone who’snot aware of this phone will consider it to be 2x of its price. But this metal body has it own disadvantages which we’ll be discussing later in this review.
Now let’s come to display: The phone has a 5.5" FHD 1080p display. The display seem crisp, viewing angles are also good. But if I am asked to compare it with other phones in this price range then I would give a slight edge to Redmi Note 3.
If I talk abt its battery life: this phone is just average in battery life. The thing is that with wifi, it does an acceptable job but when u use it with 3g/4g it becomes below average. The avg SOT I got with it on wifi was abt 3.5 to 4 hrs. But on mobile data it cud just max out at 2.5 hrs. That means I had to charge it in the evenings if I started my day at 8 o’clock.
Coming to performance of this device: The Helio X10 does a gr8 job for most part. You can play heavy games like asphalt 8 easily on this device despite the 1080p display.
Though th UI is pretty heavy but I didn’t see any major lag and glitches.
Camera: THis aspect was also below avg. I daylight the camera has no issues but it really struggles in artificial and low light. The front camera is one of the weak points of this device.
speaker: I wud say it’s acceptable.
call quality Crystal clear
updates: In my usage I received many OTA updates which fixed bugs and improved the experience.
With that let’s come to the price: The le1s is priced at Rs.11, 000 and is one of the best phones in this price range. However if u r able to get Redmi note 3 32gb variant it wud be a btr deal.
Conclusion
The phone has some heating issues. Gets pretty warm while charging and gaming due to aluminium back.I wud say it’s a gr8 phn and has completely refined the budget segment. It’s just that the redmi note 3 is offering a lot more in this price. But then again this phn is easy enough to buy. So if u r lucky enough to buy the redmi note 3 then go for it otherwise go for this le 1s.
