The Princess Provides Some Background Information
Levi Strauss & Co. was founded by Mr. Levi Strauss himself in 1853, when he decided to open a dry goods store in San Francisco, USA. He and a Navada tailor patented the technique of putting rivets in the pants for extra strenth in 1973...and thus, the Levi jeans were born. Back in those days, jeans werent called jeans, but waist overalls! The word jeans didnt hit until around 1950s. Not only does Levi Strauss make jeans, but also shoes, socks, belts, wallets, watches and outerwear. They are licenced to sell the Docker and Slates brand also!
So Princess, Do You Buy Levis?
No, I dont. And I will tell you why. Its not because I dont like the Levi brand. They are wonderful jeans that fit well, and come in all styles, fits, and shades. The wear well also, and even when they do get ragged, they still have a sexy look. (Levis do tend to shrink a bit, so use caution when drying.) The reason I dont buy them anymore is the price tag.
When I was in highschool, which was only a few years ago, you werent dog poop if you didnt have that little red tag hanging off of your right buttock. I understand now that I can get cute, trendy jeans for half the price elsewhere. That means two for one to me!
So, Will The Princess Recommend Levis?
Yes, I will, because of the quality, and thats only if you have more money than sense. Shop around, and look at the bargins out there. I know how to look good without spending a fortune, and trust me, it pays to be a cheapskape. I have more money for other things, things besides jeans at least. I was going to give Levis a 5 star rating, but I am forced to remove one star due to the shrinkage and the price tag. Buy them if you want, they are worth the money...just remember that there are plenty of other jeans out there that are just as nice, for half the price!
Made that last one rhyme, huh?
