I had bought LG 3600 since I dont like splurging on mobiles. Usually the low cost models are tough cookies and this one is tough too.However, LG forgot to make a good phone from the inside too. The first problem that it developed was its refusal to get charged. I took it to the service centre in Begumpet, Hyderabad (I later discovered to be a bunch of crooks). they said he charging pin is broken and it is not covered under warranty. Seemed logical and paid 350 bucks to get it repaired.
After 2-3 months, the keypad would suddenly freeze. No keystrokes work but you can key the keys to start the mobile after you replug in the battery. I thought this was a software issue since the key to turn the mobile ON was working and took it to the service centre again. Now comes the surprise. IT SEEMS -
LG gives warranty to its cellphones from the date of manufacturing and not the date of purchase. So, if it has sit on the shelves of the shop for 12 months and you buy, you would be buying a phone out of warranty.
I was shocked and didnt agree that no sane company would have such policies and he refused to repair my phone. I had to pay in the end since I was expecting imp calls that day abt 450 bucks. if what he said is true, LG SUCKS and if not LG SERVICE SUCKS!!! eaither way, stay away from LG...
