I purchased an LG 42lh60yr full hd TV from Best Buy 9 months ago. The screen has stopped working. Best Buy was happy to up sell be on a 4 year Warranty but they are sending me to LG for the Repair. Best Buy was also happy to sell me a wall mount. It took 3 people to install the TV. Now LG and Best Buy tell me that I need to get the serial number off of the back of the TV. Why in 2017 do they not put the serial number on the receipt or side of the TV? So now I have to arrange to get the TV off of the wall. Then a repair man can order the part. He seems to know exactly what is needed from what I have described. And with a simple google search I find that this problem is very very common. But he somehow cannot order the part with the model number. Hmm. He will not assist in taking the TV off the wall. So now I will have to somehow place this large tv on the floor for God knows how long before the part and the repair man shows up. Did I mention that the TV is only 9 months old. When I ask Best Buy what happens if the TV dies again after the 1 Year is up they said that I would have to bring the TV in for the repair. This sounds like a great warranty plan. NOT! They are happy to take the$269.99 for the extended warranty but not tell you any of this. I suppose I am happy that I did buy it because it is 2017 and LG TVs breakdown super fast apparently. I still have my SONY TV in my bedroom and it has not had one problem in the 9 years that I have had it. Hmm. Not happy with Best Buy or LG!
