We were shocked to hear from a service technician of LG dishwasher ( Model - LD2152WH) that no spare parts of this are anymore available with the company as the model is discontinued. The problem we reported was of error code 0E on the panel and after the visit he demanded call charges of Rs 450 to say the unit is not serviceable and we have to buy a new one. We refused to pay that amount as he could have told the same even without visiting us if the model was discontinued. We did tell the service center the specific error code while booking the complaint.
However, to our surprise after couple of weeks when we did the outlet pipe ( drain hose) repositioning to avoid its kinking the unit started working again.
Considering all this, we saved a huge expenditure on buying a new dishwasher by simple maintenance at home and not relying on the fraudster technician of LG Services.
