LG G6 touts an IP 68 water resistant certification along with other Mil hardened certification. That sounds great except if the phone water resistance fail. After 6 months the phone developed a problem where the sim wasn't being read. Everything else worked properly. LG avoided the warranty because the phone showed the inside had been exposed to moisture. I don't understand how water resistant phone has water in it. So if the phone fails to perform to the IP 68 standard it is not a failure of the phone but of the user. Tried talking to a second level support supervisor and the only response is that since they do not know how the water got in the phone they will not assume responsibility. Apparently the certification are only good as long as they work
