Bought the machine in 2012, along with AMC for 6 years post warranty. Machine is located in an airy, well ventilated place installed by LG person. An unusual rusting showed up soon in early when AMC repair man opened the body to change the gears. As was also confirmed by him, it was too soon and too bad, and therefore a manufacturing defect and was advised to report along with pictures. Inspite of AMC and reminders, no action was taken, no reply was given, a single statement that body is not covered under AMC! Repair men have come many times for variety of reasons, but this problem remained unresolved. LGE states that body is not covered under AMC. I contend it as manufacturing defect.
IF one buys a car, does a normal painted body show signs of rust in a few months and unless you open the car, can you find what is happening inside the covered area? We knew only when it was opened and immediately reported.
Now with rust increasing to a level that the body has been damaged heavily and will continue to do so, the body is noisy, not leveled, prone to many other problems. Does LG have this level of product after sale support and trying to save Rs.1000 or so keeping its reputation at stake?
