LG WD-1412RD - Don't Buy LG Products

I have been using IFB Products for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, their service has been declining especially since they started franchising their service. I was totally frustrated with their service and was given so many assurances by the dealer for LG products that I bought this Rs.40000/- washer-dryer.


On 10/12/2005 I bought a washer-dryer from Ganpati Electronics (owner: Anand Gulati) after Gulati gave a lot of assurances about the prompt and impeccable service that LG is committed to. UNFORTUNATELY, all his assurances have been baseless, false and big lies.


My washer-dryer has not been functioning for the past 1 week. I lodged a complaint with the LG call centre on 26/10 - 8:30 am (complaint no. A2600020). LG commits to attending the complaint within 24 hours. Till the time of writing this review (29/10 - 1:30 pm) my complaint has NOT been attended and do not know how many calls we have made (maybe about 100) and how many poersons we have spoken to (surely over a dozen).


All white goods are highly service oriented and if any company can deliver good service will be a huge success. The products in the market are extremely good but where companies falter in India is the after-sales-service. If only companies could pay more attention to service than sales.


The dealers assurances have been false, the company assurances are false and misleading and so is the LG service centre commitment false, baseless and misleading.


PLEASE DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD AFTER SALES SERVICE AND DEFINITELY NOT RELY ON THE DEALER’S ASSURANCES - THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SELLING.
