Being a momas good boy and lucky to have an nice elder sister, I never need to wash my clothes in home. Even if it ever happen that I have no option then I use to ask the laundry guy to take care of washing my clothes alongwith ironing. Afterwards I got married and now my wife washing my clothes. But the time has changed a lot for me after marriage and I have also changed myself a lot. I love cooking as the only work at home and that I can do only with some assistance. Washing clothes has always been a tough job for me.
Last month I got a chance to live alone in my home as my wife went to her father’s home for a week. She could not made arrangements for my clothes as she need to leave in hurry. And then came the weekend and I have to live all alone in the home. I was in trouble of washing my clothes for upcoming week. First I decided to take my clothes to some laundry and feel relax but later I decided to test our washing machine. I dont want to tell my wife that I am planning to wash my clothes in our washing machine, as she will definitely refuse my attempt of washing clothes in machine all alone.
We have purchased this washing machine from Sales India after lot of researh and discussion of my wife with her friends.
I reach to the washing machine and opened it. I got my dirty clothes inside the machine which I took out and put beside. Then I searched for the manual to get some idea but I didnt get the same. I inspected the machine for its features and functioning. I have a rough idea of pouring water in the big tank and adding washing powder to wash the clothes and switch on the nobs. I connected the pipe to the tap and water started pouring into the machine. It was time consuming work, so I switched on my PC and logged into my favourite websites, also to **Mouthshut.** And I forgot to close the tap and water started falling out of the machine tank. Now I have increased my own task of cleaning the floor filled with water. After fighting with the water on the floor, I took excess water out from the machine through a mug upto the water level mark which I got during inspection. I dont want to waste this excess water so I pout it into a separate bucket.
I have started washing clothes by putting some(around 2 and a half scoops) washing powder in the machine. I started putting clothes in the machine and slowly I put all the clothes in the machine and set it to 15 mintues on timer. As the machine was not working properly and clothes were moving very slowly and the clothes were messed up, I realize that there must lot of clothes in the tank and its beyond the machines capacity of 6.2 KG. I took some clothes out and found machine all working fine. After washing second lot, I am done with the washing and now its time wash with fresh water. I had seen my mom and wife doing washing again in the machine with fresh water as final washing. Now I need to took out the dirty water out of the machine for which I have started with a mug but that was a tedious way. Then I found a bigger pipe coming out of the machine and also got a nob with two options pointing to wash and drain. I have put the nob towards drain and dirty water flow through the drainage. Then I refilled the machine with fresh water and wash the clothes in the same way as before but this time without washing powder. And then I have used the second tank(dryer) to dry my clothes by putting the wet clothes and set it to around 2 minutes. The clothes really got dry well and I just need to hang them outside for some time.
I use to wear clothes once or twice a week and I have to sit all the time in office, so my clothes do not get much dirty. And I got my clothes washed really fine after this wash.
I have heard some discussions on fully automatic and semi automatic washing machines but never tried to understand the difference between their functioning.But we have this semi automatic machine and now I came to know that this is much useful for us as a small family in terms of performance as well as in saving electricity, water and washing powder.This machine has got all the necessary features useful for washing clothes.the capacity is 6.2 KG and it is performing very well since a year as my wife told me.The functions are very easy to use and even a lazy guy like me can wash clothes very comfortably.My wife told me that the machine is capable of washing clothes effectively and she just need to put some efforts on really dirty parts of the clothes by rubbing them with a soap separately.
*Washing clothes in a washing machine has become an adventure for me.** I have told this to my wife and she was surprised to know my experience. And now she is teasing me to wash all the clothes every weekend. I can cook food all the weekend but I don’t want to wash clothes anymore.But I had a good and useful experience through this incident.
