I made a mistake of buying from this new website on March 17th 2013. I paid Rs 1560 for 3 clothing products shown on the website. The products delivered did not match the pictures. Actually, it appeared that they had downloaded pictures from elsewhere and got local tailors to mimic the style. I requested for their return the same day I received the delivery of the products also giving my opinion to their customer care or CEO (I dont know) called Smriti.
Their return policy said that within 30 days, the customer can request a return. My complaint was not listened to politely. However, I was promised that a reverse-pickup will be arranged and the return will be processed. I kept on calling and e-mailing but either received no response or a false assurance that the pickup will be arranged. The person-in-charge rarely used to take calls and almost never replied to emails. After 3 weeks, I called again from a new number. She asked me this time to ship the products myself although earlier she was claiming she had already arranged for a reverse pick-up. I paid Rs. 180 and shipped the products back which reached her within 30 days of the delivery. After that no refund was issued. I waited for another month. Each time I contacted, false assurances were given saying that the check has been issued or is being issued or is already sent. Once, a false tracking number was also given. After getting fed up, I threatened in an email to file a case with the customer court. I received a reply from them saying that the company cannot accept returns outside the time frame specified in return policy. I checked the return policy on their website again which then I saw was changed from 30 days to 7 days from delivery. Right now (1st June, 2013), this company has their products (which I paid for) as well as my Rs. 1560. I also spent Rs. 180 to send these products to them. It is hard for me to imagine how unscrupulous this company is. In so many years of availing the advantages of online shopping, I have never encountered any company like liebemode.com.
After all this happened, I recalled a purchase of the same brand from snapdeal.com. Then too, I had had to return the product as it was nowhere close to the picture shown on the website. I have records of all of these and plan to visit the customer court with all the proof. It is shocking how in this era of flourishing e-commerce, unethical wannabees try to take undue advantage of the customers trust. But meanwhile, I do not want others to make the same mistake that I did of buying from this website.
