Absolutely Brilliant

John Nash had always intrigued me. From the time I read a little background on his life while researching the ’’Nash Equilibrium’’ I had always wanted to find out more. However being lazy I never did till I got the opportunity to watch this movie.

The movie really is brilliantly done and takes you into the depth of the mind of this brilliant economist. It shows you more then just the facts and the figures and introduces you to the gentle human being behind it all. It takes you through the struggles he and his wife went through for many years as he fought with his mind. His very asset had turned into his greatest enemy.

The movie is reasonably slow and perhaps won’t be enjoyed by people looking for an out and out thriller. However for anyone who has ever bothered to learn anything about this man, the movie will be an absolute treat. I still am hoping to one day read Nash’s biography but till then the memories of this film will have to do. But then again they are wonderful memories.
