The book recommended to me by a friend as the best biography on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. The book lived up to its promise. Gandhi was a phenomenon. Likes of him are seen very rarely on earth. Theirfore it is essential that this life is captured in its entirety and truthfully. This book does so. Gandhi, by his own admission, was not perfect. But he had a character far more true and trustworthy than most humans. Having read Gandhis autobiography, " experiments with truth", I was a little skeptical whether a biography of his could do justice. Certanly, a biographer cant capture the soul of the man as an autobiography can. But this book comes very close. Read about Gandhi blindly hear. A good account on Gandhi and gandhisim. A good detail of Gandhi from south africa to 1948 India. Louis Fischer is the best greatly told by fischer. Amazing sir. To know Gandhi and his character. You most read this book.
