Unengaging Plot: "Lightning" didnt hold my attention with its uninteresting plot, which felt predictable and unimaginative. The plot lacked complexity and offered no noteworthy surprises or twists.
Underdeveloped Characters: I was unable to care about the books characters because they were flat and lacked the necessary emotional depth. I had a hard time empathizing with them and making a connection with them.
Overly Romantic: The novels emphasis on romantic relationships overshadowed other possible plot threads. This overemphasis on romanticism came off as artificial and occasionally melodramatic.
Pacing Problems: The books pacing was erratic, with some sections feeling hurried and others dragging on. Because of this, it was challenging for me to keep reading and keep interested.
Lack of Realistic Conflict: "Lightning"s conflicts felt manufactured and lacked sincerity. The lack of genuinely difficult situations the individuals experienced made it difficult for me to empathize with their sufferings.
With its weak plot, underdeveloped characters, overdone romance, pacing flaws, and lack of realistic conflict, "Lightning" by Danielle Steel left me feeling unsatisfied overall. This book didnt live up to my hopes for an interesting and engrossing read, which made it a bad decision for me.
