Unengaging Plot: "Lightning" didn’t hold my attention with its uninteresting plot, which felt predictable and unimaginative. The plot lacked complexity and offered no noteworthy surprises or twists.
Underdeveloped Characters: I was unable to care about the book’s characters because they were flat and lacked the necessary emotional depth. I had a hard time empathizing with them and making a connection with them.
Overly Romantic: The novel’s emphasis on romantic relationships overshadowed other possible plot threads. This overemphasis on romanticism came off as artificial and occasionally melodramatic.
