Lions cancer detection centre is located at New Civil Hospital campus, Majura Gate, Surat which is very near to the Surat railway station. You can get bus or auto rickshaw to reach there very easily. It is run by Lions club of Surat. It works in collaboration with new civil hospital, Surat
It is the only centre in South Gujarat which is providing free treatment to cancer patients. Infrastructure is newly prepared and it is good. They are providing cancer diagnosis as well as cancer treatment facility. They are giving chemotherapy and radiotherapy according to patient’s condition and requirement.
Due to free treatment facility, this centre is having a lot of patients. Myself has referred few cancer patients for further treatment of cancer to this place and they have got proper treatment free of cost. Due to lot of patient load, it will be little time consuming there. But, needy and poor people can definitely take the help of this centre for treatment of cancer.
Also cancer patients are getting residence at very cheap rate in hospital campus which is run by one trust. Staff is also co-operative.
I will definitely recommend this centre for treatment of cancer. It is the better choice for cancer patients of South Gujarat.
