Needless to say I hit this joint prior to dinner at Mainland China not far away....cute crowds and, as expected, exorbitant rates for a shot of (real) Absolut!
Look, I’m a former "club kid" from 80’s NYC (Palladium, Milk Bar, Limelight, Mars, et cetera, etc, etc) so you REALLY had to have something special to impress me. This was not your typical dive on Melrose Ave in LA either!
And Liquids, replete avec the cigarette burns in the furniture upholstery fit the bill for a "starving" NRI. I just wish I was 20 odd years younger to hook up with the cute girls (all in their teens/twenties).....this was not relevant for a Jay McInerney fan from the Big Apple (BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY) -
I plan to visit Liquids (with my wife yaar) on my next visit to Hyderabad.......after a hop from London in 2008
