Cool

Listerine’s Cool Mint Mouthwash is good way to keep your teeth healthy.

I gargle in the morning after I brush my teeth and at night after I floss. I use the strips after I eat lunch.

I buy the 1.5 liter plastic bottle for $6.49, a small pocket of strips, (that are very thin), for $2.75, that I use when I am out and a small plastic bottle, (250 ml), for $1.00 to use when I am traveling.

I have tried the citrus flavors and the fluoride control but I like the tartar Control one the best. I comes in wintergreen, cinnamon and coolmint. The taste of the mint is the one I like best.

In Canada all of the water we drink has fluoride in it, so I don’t need any more of that. I find the citrus flavors are to tangy for me.

The bottles are clear and you can see the color through it. Wintermint is blue, Cinnamon is red and Coolmint is green.

Before I use the mouthwash I floss between my teeth, and after I brush my teeth with a battery tooth brush.

The top is black as is to be used as a cup to put your mouth wash in before you gargle. You only need to fill the cap 1/3 of the way as a full cap would have some of the mouthwash run out of your month.

When I put the mouthwash in my mouth I swish it back and forth a few times, and then I tip my head back and gargle. I never swallow it because it contains alcohol, and I don’t want to get drunk on mouthwash, like the street people do.

After I finish using the mouthwash I rinse out the cap and put it back on top of the bottle.

I have been using this mouthwash for many years. When I go to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned there isn’t too much plaque on my teeth and the dental hygienist has me out of there in about half an hour.

On the bottle, in French and English, it says that this mouth wash kills the germs that cause colds and sore throats. I have been using this mouthwash for 5 years and I haven’t had a cold or a sore throat.

Please don’t let children under the age of twelve use this mouthwash and if they do or if a small child drinks it take them to the doctor right away.

Ingredients, (taken from the bottle): Eucalyptol 0.091% , thymol 0.063% , menthol 0.042% , zinc chloride 0.09%, Alcohol, benzoic acid, F D & C Blue No. 1, flavor, methyl salicylate, poloxamer, propanol, sodium benzoate, sodium saccharin, sorbitol and water.

In the United States they have a new white one, (I don’t know what the flavor is), that says in the TV Ad’s ...’’You don’t have to floss any more when you use this.’’ I can’t wait to try it.

Listerine in Canada is made by the Pfizer Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario. They make a lot of products and here is the link to their site:

I find my teeth are whiter and my teeth and gums are heathier because of this mouthwash. If you haven’t tried Listerine Mouthwash yet I hope you do.
