Fiction or non-fiction, be it the reality bytes or tales originating from the splendid imagination (like one hundred years of solitude by Marquez) -hardly one finds a a book like this. The narration by Swami Rama is simply mesmerizing. The captivating prose is spell binding so far its thematic content is concerned.
Like a true companion-seer Swami Rama takes us beyond the mundane world of everydayness. To the Himalayas. The Himalayas for most of us remains still a myth. But this great sage (Swami Rama) appears to be one of its original elements. The picturesque peaks, the immortal sages and the wisdom of his Master come alive in the pages. This a different spiritual book where there is no sermonising on a particular cult, marga or tradition.
The truth is all pervasive and most important, it resides WITHIN. It is the Seeker who has to find it out within the deep recess. And it needs self-confidence, discipline and practice. The book tells us how to be fearless and how to believe in the deeper values of life. To discover the truth there is no specific path, there is no specific religion and there is no specific Guru, because the moment one desires earnestly to be there, it will be possible.
Two thousand five years back Buddha and thereafter Shankar told the very same thing. The truth/salvation/nirvana is within. Beyond this world there is another world, which though appears surreal, is actually more real. The book by Swami Rama is a great guide to take a tour inside.
