Kitchen nightmare

I don’t want to waste any more time on this company, but the recent behaviour of their staff has left such a bad taste that I feel I need to put this out there to save others. I originally booked my home interiors with Livspace. My building was under construction so I had just started going through options. From the start they were pressuring me into booking immediately with some bullshit offers even when the original possession date of my flat was a year away. This was my first mistake. I paid the advance and forgot about it. Then we started the design phase. Again they were pressuring me to finish this early so they can "order" the stuff. This was again just to get more money from me. At the point again, the possession date given by the builder was atleast 9-10 months out. Now the builder delayed the possession by almost 2 years. By the time I am ready to start work, pretty much the entire staff I was working with had left the company. After calling their customer care 100 times, I finally had to visit their store and create a scene to get someone to talk to me about resuming work. Based on this experience I was already mad and I did not want anything to do with them, but I had already paid 50% of the money based on the initial design. They gave me some bullshit as usual that we have ordered the stuff etc. This was complete bullshit as it meant the stuff was sitting in their warehouse for 2 years. I would definitely not want any of that stuff in my house. At this point, I started talking to other folks who had done work with livspace and almost everyone I spoke to had bad reviews. Frankly I am surprised the rating here is 4.5. Maybe paid reviews. Finally after back and forth we agreed to reduce the scope just to the kitchen. They agreed as it meant that they dont have to return the money they were holding. All the initial communication regarding we have ordered raw materials was hence bullshit. The kitchens in their store looked good and the designers we spoke to seemed nice so we were relieved that this nightmare is finally over. However, then comes the implementation phase. The reason we gave them the kitchen is that there is very less scope for mistakes as it is modular. However the joke is they sent 1 person to install everything. He didnt even have the right tools. My private contractor had to help him out with some of the tools. When I complained, they sent 2 people the next day and finished the assembly. The initial assembly went okay but looking at their skill set I decided to reduce the scope further as I was not confident of them installing the counter top properly. Now only thing left is deep cleaning, installing wicker basket, installing skirting and alignment. This took 2-3 months. Again I had to call the team 100 times. They were dodging calls, switching their phones off etc. Half of the people we spoke to had left the company. This just shows how bad the work culture is. They prey on customers with fancy installations in their store and once they are hooked in, they move onto others. Even now, they have still not installed the wicker baskets as they claim they dont have the size that their designer gave us. They were even trying to install extra channels to make the small baskets fit just to finish the work. It is a shitshow. They have even ordered extra stuff which was not used and billed me. When we call they don’t pick up or switch off their phones. I am planning to get the work done externally and save my mental peace. I would ask anyone who is reading this to please stay away. If you have booked already, make sure you dont have Mandar Rambade or Hashim Bhati as part of your implementation team.
