LOC is a great film. What went in Kargil was shown well. Some of this might not be true, but than again someone like me who was in US at time would not know of what was fact and wat wasnt.. difficulties the soldiers went thru..and still fought for us can not be ignored.. But the film could have been better. For example, a narrator was needed to tell us. It was really hard for me to keep up with all the names of soldiers’ groups and all the points. It also needs editing (especially pyar bhara geet--its great song but).
Anyways. The way Ajay Devgun and his troops capture the first point is just outstanding. The jokes between Manoj Bajpayee and Ashoutosh Rana provide great relief. The way they worked was brilliant. Abhishek Bachchan and his friend were also great.
Performances- Ajay Devgun/Akshaye Khanna/Abhishek Bachchan/the guy who plays his friend--code name Sangram (dont know his name--woh unitel wala) Ashoutosh Rana/Manoj Bajpayee were brilliant. Sanjay Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Puru Raj Kumar, Sunil Shetty are great. But Abhishek is a show stealer. His one liners provide much needed laughter. He made his present felt in front of Sanjay Dutt who is considered to have great screen presence (he dissapoints) Amongst the actress its Eshay Deol who comes out winner.
Music is really touching.. its well composed, well sung, and well written. After watching the movie its really hard to pick which one is favorite.

well made film but could have been better... SUNNY D was missed... it could have been better if we were shown how/where the helicoptors came from.. what actually our plan was... it should have focused on the story of the war.. there are 4 different troops and its really hard to keep up with what was goal of each... j.p. dutta could have just this was our plan and this was the way we did it.
p.s. many ppl have problem w/ the cursing.. well wat do u expect the soldiers to say to them??? they could have died in a second and their friends were dieing in front of them.. anyone would have cursed in that situation... we love cursing in ’’hollywood’’ film but when it comes to hindi films we get carried away....
anyways great film.. DONT MISS IT WATCH IT IN THEATER.
