Wow, that was a thought provoking letter!
I personally live in a western country myself, and have only been to India (what a heart-warming place!) for vacation purposes several times. What Chet is, simply put, is brainwashed. It’s too bad that the American media, and all the other propaganda tools they use so legitimately, have gotten to the better of her. I think she should look into the heart of India, and any other country or people for that matter, before blocking her mind in a biased manner. There are good and bad everywhere, but to stereotype without even understanding the situations, dilemmas, and sacrifices people have had to make just to survive, is unfortunate.
The bottom line is if we want to live in a better tomorrow, we have to start today. We need to open our minds and not trash people or countries depending on how we perceive them.
