I wanted to share this incident that one of my close friend using BPL mobile from the last 4 years he was happy till he got a bombshell from BPL.
He bought a new house in Vashi hence, I myself and him went to bpl gallery in chembur and requested to change his billing address. so far so good. One fine day they disconnected the services. We both went and asked them they say since you have changed the address, we failed to reach there so we cut the connection. How foolish? Before disconnecting the service they should have contacted him over the phone and could ask for any details that they want.
When we went to Vashi gallery, they mentioned that his mom at home gave land line number different than the number mentioned while took the connection 4 years long back. When a person changes his address, obviously MTNL gives another new connection with new number. If his mom, gave new number its not wrong from her part. The person who must have visited their place should have counter enquired about the number change then they would have known the reason too.
But no one is keen to take responsibility when we called customer service and accepted cancellation application form. After 2 weeks someone from higher authority member called and said, we are sorry now we can give you 2 months of free billing and come back to BPL.
Such a pathetic incident, all of my other Colleagues in office are changing from BPL to orange as orange is much more supportive and we got an excellent (tariff) package as a corporate member.
Thought I will share my views about their services. Anybody with me?
