My weekend was going wonderfully. I guess the devil inside me couldn’t see that, I found a way to screw it up completely.
Last week I saw posters of "Love Guru" everywhere. Really liked the posters, thought the creativity of the posters would have materialized into a nice movie. Also the movie hero was Tarun. Remember the song "ee sanje yaakaagide, neenillade...." ? yes the same guy Tarun.
I always wanted to watch a movie starring Tarun. I already missed his 2 hit movies ’Khushi’ and ’Geleya’, surely I dint want to miss this one. So I took an urgent decision of watching the movie before getting any reviews from my friends. Half of the decision was made by my friend who bought the tickets. I agreed half-heartedly to accompany him for the movie, since I had plans of watching X-Men III @ home and I had to cancel X-Men for Love Guru.
All set, I thought lets see Tarun’s movie and end my curiosity about his acting. As per the old saying curiosity killed the cat, my curiosity for the actor soon turned into disgust.
That guy can’t act and can’t dub for his own movie. The guy who dubbed for him was our very own ’panche shyama’ or ’paapa paandu gopi’ Vikram Suri. Vikram’s voice doesn’t suit Tarun at all. Tarun’s acting was so lame that he made movie viewing a horrible experience. His dialogue delivery was so bad, it was as if he is reciting the line given by script writer. With zero expression and false enthusiasm.
Rest all co-stars like Harish Raj, Deleep, have done a good job. Lead actress Radhika pandit’s acting is far better compared to Tarun’s. Even she has to learn a lot. She must understand that she can’t attract people to theaters just by her looks. Lets not talk about the script or else I will start crying. Overall this is a bad bad movie. Stay at home and enjoy your precious time with your loved ones.
