Ever since I was a kid, I have always been interested in the occult sciences, palmistry (chiromancy & chirognomy), astrology, numerology, physiognomy (face reading), graphology (hand writing analysis) & even oniromancy(interpretation of dreams). It’s not a child’s play to be able to make precise predictions except with in-depth study & experience.
However, it all started as a child’s play for me where in our hostel, we used to pretend reading each other’s hands. It was just fun for us. By & by, I started realizing that I was able to tell about someone’s past quite accurately just by seeing certain lines, mounts, stars & marks on the palms. I was intrigued & I picked up my first copy on the Art of Palmistry by Cheiro. Thus, my interest in the natural sciences was kindled.
Often, I used to be told, ’’Oh! Our Sun Signs don?t match. We?ll never get along’’. I used to think ’Rubbish!’ But, anyway, I rushed to get a copy of Linda Goodman Book of Sun Signs. I read, observed & was surprised to know that it was true to a great extent. The exceptions are due to the ancestry of a person & cusps (which last for 10 days approximately). My profile reads that I love to relate humans to animals & most sun signs are related to animals & all are related to living beings except one. Libra is the only exceptional sun sign which is represented by the weighing scales, a non-living thing.
Later, as we grew older, my friends started developing crushes & we would discuss them. They would ask me (being a Sun Sign expert by then :0P) if the guy they liked would be good for them, if they would get along & so on. I had no idea & that was when Linda Goodman’s Book of Love Signs found its place in my personal library. Although I was unable to be of much help (Hey! We were just 13-14 years old giggle), I learnt a lot from that precious book. Today, I no longer have my copy (it was stolen at the hostel), but I remember a few things from that book which I would like to share.
I read & re-read The Book of Sun Signs till I didn’t need to consult it anymore. It gives a detail of all the 12 Sun Signs (They say a 13th sign has been discovered), right from Aries to Pisces, including the cusps, their basic characteristics, likes, dislikes, lucky number, flowers & stones etc. Then, it continues to give a complete study of combinations of each sign with every other sign in a man-woman & woman-man combination. For instance, Aries Man-Taurus Woman & Aries Woman-Taurus Man.
Like I mentioned earlier, it is a science & putting the knowledge into practise is an Art. U may query, why is it called a Science? Well, it categorizes each Sun Sign under the four elements of Fire, Earth, Water & Air. Now consider this; can Fire & Water ever exist together? Water extinguishes Fire whereas, Air(containing oxygen) fuels it. Simple! In the same way, a person under Fire sign will not get along with a person under Water sign in most cases (unless the ancestry affects it). It is interesting to note that once U are well versed with the nature of each Sun Sign, the rest falls into place.
Scorpios are known to be stingingly blunt & can never speak a lie just to please someone; whereas, Leos are known to be royal & bask in attention & flattery. Neither can step down from their platform. Hence, how can U expect them to be in Love or their Love to survive? It’s a simple science.
A word of caution here; If U read this book, please do so only to gather more knowledge & not to judge another person. To escape possible heartaches, not to scorn anyone. The sun, moon & stars have a lot to teach us & I personally believe that we choose & write our own fate most of the times. Do not try to fight it. If still U wish to defy the natural sciences, well, I wish U All the Best. If it happens Ur way, it will be among the rare exceptional cases, possibly due to the ancestral effects. In case, things do not turn out the way U wanted them to, I wish to say it in advance(as I may not be there to say it), I told U so.... :0P
Science is meant to be studied & experimented & I have done my share of experimenting. It may come as a surprise but there have been instances when I have just looked at the photograph of a person, spoken to him for about 10 minutes & said with accuracy, ’’U are so-&-so sun sign’’. Everyone may not be able to do that, but its alright. The book of Sun Signs is a good read anyway, so.... Go 4 it & Enjoi!....
