Have u people seen Khwahish? (yeah the movie rumoured to have 17 kissing scenes b/w the notorious Mallika Sherawat and Himanshu) well...it is one of the most blatant copies of this famed book, Love Story By Erich Sehgal.
When I first heard about this book, I thought...how wud this book be, sooo romantic? etc etc etc
And the reality? BLAM. I could guess each and every scene after Ollie and Jenny marry, right down to the fact that when Jenny goes out of the house, angry at Ollie for insulting his father (just like mallika does in the movie), she forgets the keys behind and ofcourse in the end when she becomes cancerous and eventually dies.
I dont have to tell u guys that I didnt like the movie Khwashish (no, it was hot and steamy allright, but there was no story, none.) so I DID NOT like the book even more, (since there was nothing hot in it)
The movie (since I saw it first, or my review would have been the other way round, i.e. I would be cursing the movie instead of the book)
Magnificent (as in the description) is one of the overstatements of this century. The book drags on during the middle where in the beginning it was ok (It didnt sound like I saw the story before) and when I began to realise that the movie Khwahish is a complete copy, I wanted to put it down, but then.....I thought there might be something that is not there in the movie, alas I was disappointed.
Good luck to the people who want to read this book anymore.
