Luck By Chance - A much anticipated movie after Rock On. Quite a few expectations. And it fulfills them to a certain extent.
The story is about a struggling actor who wants to make it big in Bollywood and then the perople he interacts on his way. The plot is simliar to Fashion, but Fashion is an intesne movie whereas Luck By Chance is light, filled with simple humor. The movie gives a good message that yes, there is a luck factor in every success story. But, luck favors only those who want to work hard.
The movie is otherwise very simple, to the point of being boring if it not were for the impactful performances. Actors save this movie.
Music: Very Good. The Baaware song is a delight to watch. Hrithik’s dance is engaging as usual.
Dialgoues: Dialogues are quite spontaneous. Especially those of Farhan’s and Hrithik’s.

Farhan Akhtar:** Very cute and lovable performance. He lights up the screen like anything! The movie picks up momentum only after his entry. It makes you wonder what is in this guy that is so pleasing, He is not very good looking, doesn’t have body-shody, doesn’t have much voice modulation and yet you want to keep watching him! Wow! That’s called screen presence!
Hrithik! Superb performance as Zafar Khan. He might have just 2/3 scenes, but he sure makes an impact! First time Hrithik plays a character that has a touch of comedy and he plays it to conviction.
Rishi Kapoor: Great acting. He makes you forget that he is Rishi Kapoor! The man is definitely passionate about acting. Otherwise at his age, actors tend to give same repeatitive performances.
Isha Shravni: Beautiful lady, amazing dancer, great figure, great waist-line(Hold On! No ’Dostana’ in my mind!). Overall, a memorable debut!
Others like Sanjay Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Dimple Kapadia also shine in their respective roles.
Cameos: The cameos of different stars are very short, hardly 2-3 minutes. So if you are going to watch this movie for stars like Aamir Kahn / Shahrukh Khan, forget about it. The cameos are too short to become the selling point of the movie.

Going by the acting of the cast, the songs, the choreography, Zoya Akhtar’s direction looks good. But looking at the big picture, the film as a whole has less entertaining value as compared to Dil Chahta Hai or even Rock On. But her talent, her passion is definitely noticeable.
*Negatives:

*Some scenes are quite boring, especially those involving Konkona Sharma. She looks bored and stressed. Her acting is not bad, but it lacks the humorous touch that is present in other performances.
Some other scenes(again those not involving the lead stars) look too simple, more like a documentry-film. Maybe a good background score would have added more impact.
Best scene(or my fav): Zafar Khan interacting with street kids!
Moral of the story:*Farhan is dashing and Hrithik is sexy!
