Chicken and Beer - Ludacris

To Ludacris’ Credit, his third album CHicken N Beer is a slick, sonically fluid and more versatile album than his previous ones. Of course, half his songs feature someone or the other, but once cant deny the fact that he is a VERY good rapper - as he proves on ’Southern Fried Intro’ - the first track.

From the Hypnotic single ’Stand up’ to the classy ’Hip Hip Quotables’ , large chunks of this album are very listenable indeed, subject matter notwithstanding....

Im not going to go into the nuances of the ’language’ that Ludacris uses...but I can say this, if you’re under 16 : come back when you’re older, kid.

’Hoes in My Room’ , a smooth collab. with Snoop Dogg is probably the best track on the CD. It has that chilled, laid back beat that you can just groove to.

’We Got’, featuring a whole lotta people, is another interesting one with the background sample being...guess? Ludacris coughing! How’s that for sonic creativity?

Another great plus for the album are the Skits scattered here and there. Trust me, they’re Hilarious!
