A Risky download: L VIEW PRO It will make you crazy. O.K. so I downloaded L VIEW PRO. It made me crazy; I tried everything to get rid of it. I should know better than to download some program I know anything about. L VIEW PRO gives you a free 21 day evaluation period to use their program, but hey! They dont tell you how to use the program. All of my pictures, drawings, and other important programs had a green L around my icons; of course the L looks like a V too. When I would click on one of my icons with the green L by the icon a window would pop up with two options, either buy their product or view their product. I sort of forgot about the 21 days evaluation period. Guess what! After the 21 days I couldnt open no drawing, no picture, no any icon of mine. When I would try and open one of my icons a pop up window would read: L View Pro cant find such and such. Was I perplexed? I suppose I had to purchase this too expensive program, in order for me to be shown how to use L View Pro.
Okay, I did see that you could resize a picture or change the color of a picture, but I still had a problem with the program of not knowing what to do. This has to be an underhanded way to sell your software. The price is outrageously high! L View Pro wants $49.95 for 800 images. Then they want $29.95 for the first CD. (I did not know what the CDS were for) Then L View Pro wants me too pay for 99 CDS at $20.00 each, That’s $1, 980.00 dollars! Wow! Sounds like a rip off to me. That’s a grand total of $2, 159.60 dollars and cents not counting the shipping and handling. I wasn’t about to pay this kind of money for a program that blocks me out of important items on my PC because I refuse to purchase their program. I was ready to pull my hair out by now. I uninstalled L View pro several times and just got the same problem of not being able to open any of my icons. I could have tried on the web at contacting L View pro, but just didn’t need the run around.
I went into my computer and deleted items I hoped would get rid of this nuisance, this is not safe to do. Finally I uninstalled Windows 98 and got the old Windows 95. It is like going into the dark ages. I inserted my Windows 98 disk and the rest is history. 98 got rid of L View Pro. Thank goodness! Now I can open my icons when I want. From now on I will not be downloading some program without doing some research.
