These all and many more such are creation of one of the famous painter – Maqbool Fida Husain.
Something about Mr Hussain
M.F Hussain was born at Pandharpur, Maharashtra, India on September 17, 1915. He got his education in Indore and moved to Mumbai. H got more education at the J. J. School of Arts. Initially he was painting cinema hoarding for livelihood. His first painting exhibition was conducted in 1947 and till 1956 he became famous painter. He also got international recognition for his work. Hussain was awarded the Padmashree in 1966, Padma Bhushan in 1973, Padma Vibhushan in 1989. He was also nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 1986.
Since 1996, MF Hussain is involved in one or another controversy related to his painting. First time he had started by painting a nude picture of Hindu devi. With this M.F.Hussain had made n*ked and provocative paintings of various Hindu Devi-Devata like Rama Bhagwan, Shiva Bhagwan, Krishna Bhagwan, Parvati Devi, Durga Devi, Laxmi Devi, Sita Devi etc. It was opposed by many Hindu organizations. 250 + police cases have been filed against Hussain. Hussain had been investigated several times by the police for his weird paintings but he had not been charged in last 10 years. Recently the Mumbai Police had registered a case against Hussain under Sections 153-A and 295-A for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs. But nothing will happen to him that we all know.
In 1996, he had apologized and people let him go. Then from time to time, he has been doing so and we are not able to do anything. He has been doing this and every time he apologizes and gets free hand. There is no use of his apology as he is doing the same thing again and again.
As we all know as a part of pseudo secularism, we are not able do anything to Mr Hussain. Just check what are the things erupted for a cartoon of Paygambar Saheb in Europe. All Muslim countries were having a strong oppose of the same. Even an editor of publication house in was charged for publishing the cartoon. But we can’t do anything to a person who is doing same thing with Hindu Devi Devata since last 10 years. Do you remember Salman Rashdi hiding himself for nearly 15 years ? And Mr Hussain is free to repeat this non sense again.
Only thing Maharastra Government has done good is – Cancellation of Hussain’s felicitation with the Roopdhar honor at the hands of the Maharashtra Governor.
Even though Indian’s and Hindu shown tolerance for last 10 years, Mr Hussain has not stopped. He had drawn his ultimate painting - “Bharat mata (Mother India) depicted as a n*de woman”, with various states and cities inscribed on her body. Now it is very much clear that Hussain is having disregards not only towards Hinduism but also he is a traitor to motherland.
Now the question is –
1. Whether all Indians irrespective of which religion will stand together against this ?
2. Whether we will be able to stop Mr Hussain from doing such nonsense again ?

1. India Today – the magazine which has publish the painting of Bharat Mata by saying it’s a noble cause of raising funds for the victims of earthquake in Kashmir.
2. Ms. Nafisa Ali – She was promoting the sale of that Painting. Plus She advised Hindu groups to act for social welfare rather than protesting that tainted painting.
