M-indicator was a small start up travelling guide for Mumbai. It just had train route when started the application on Symbian Platform. At that time majority of the user were using Nokia phone.
Later they added bus number, bus stops, source and destination stops. We can either search bus by its number or by its source and destination if we don’t know the bus number.
This app grew very fast with wide varieties of features added to it. In train section, they added western, central, harbour, metro, express, mono railway. They have provided offline map of the all the routes in detail. This is very helpful. In Train section, timing and platforn numbers on which train will arrive that is added. Even on which side door will come that is indicated.
Apart from train and buses, Ferry was added. This includes Gorai, essel world, Marve, madh jetty, elephanta, gateway, rewas and many more. Timing of ferry are mentioned.
Other features includes picnic places, movies, natak, jobs, property, Emergency and security. This all are not offline. You require internet for this features to access.
There indication by message if there are mega blocks or train are running late. We can even track the train i.e. where train is reached. This is online feature.
