I have visited mata vaishno Devi temple in Kara once.To reach there, first you have to go to Jammu and Kashmir and from there you have to go by bus to Kara.
From there you have to walk 13 km to reach the temple, horses are also available, so you can go on horses also.Now a days they have also started helicopter service, there is a helipad 3km before mandir, helicopter will leave you there and from there u can walk.After doing Fatshan you have to walk around 2km more to bhairavji Mandir.Then only your yatra is said to be completed.Do not go in rainy season as it is slippery there and you will find it difficult to walk.
