Plot:
Set in the locales of a place in Himachal Pradesh, this is a story of a simple and innocent college girl, Sarah(Kiara Advani) who likes racing cars falls in love with another racing car loving boy Ransh(Mustafa). Love flowers to marriage despite various deaths of some common friends. All goes well, until one day Sarah is thrown from the cliffs by Ransh. Presuming her to be dead he creates a grief wrapped environment for her family and her so called “presumed” father, Balraj Thapar(Ronit Roy). From here on the story takes on a series of confusing twists, Kiara’s father is not her father; rather he is the father of Ransh, who is the mastermind behind the creation of the whole story. He is an extremely greedy person who was assigned as a caretaker of Kiara, after her parents’ death, and always had his eyes set on her wealth. When he came to know that Kiara was about to give away half of her property to charity to an educational trust he could not take it, and decided to bring his son to carry out his devious plan. Another twist, Sarah is not dead, rather saved by the twin brother of her friend, who used to be her secret lover and dead. The twin brother is a commando and he is magically present at exactly the same instant when Sarah is falling from the cliff. Like a flash of light he moves in to save her. Might do some kind of justification to that famous Physics formula, E=mc2. Ransh on the other side, somewhere in Georgia, is on an international wide killing spree to fulfill the devilish dreams of his father. And, finally he is tracked down by Kiara and the commando brother of her friend, who throws a knife at him with the motive of killing him, however, Ransh who has by now realized and normalized that he really loves Kiara, finishes his own life to her utter dismay.
Cast Performance:
Only one person whose performance is really appreciable is Ronit Roy. And both Kiara and Mustafa have tried to act their way out, but nothing actually keeps the story going.Abbas Mustan, the director duo newly launched star, Mustafa is not able to show any charm, whatsoever.
Sound Track:
The sound tracks are done by a series of music directors, Dr Zeus, Tanishk Bagchi, Viju Shah, Sandeep Shirodkar, but again nothing is worth mentioning. The remix of the once very famous song, "Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast" although creates for some foot tapping.
Cinematography:
Beautiful locales, zooming cars, falling off from cliffs, the cinematography seems a little hay wire just like its twisted story. Looks like this “Machine” needs to be totally dismantled and reassembled to create its functionality.
