Most horrible place one can ever stay at. We saw the website and booked the place and were asked to deposit the full amount as advance. When we went from Shirdi to Mahabaleshwar and reached the place late in the night we could only make it by 1 o clock in the night. The place was as eerie as a haunted house. The reception area was all leaking and pouring. The waiter took us thru the kitchen to the cottage and the kitchen was in such a bad shape that we did not feel like having even a glass of water. My wife slipped on the kitchen floor which was all full of muck.
The room had no electricity and walls were all damp and full of fungus and mildew. Somehow we decided to spend whatever was left in the night and asked for some mattresses. when the mattresses arrived they were so dirty and the covers had somany holes that we did not feel like sleeping on them. Finally we had to leave the place at 2 am and head back for panchgani where we luckily got rooms at Mount Castle Hotel which saved our holiday.
Next day when we complained to the owner Mr Jadhwani he simply agreed to refund the money and we thought allthough the inconvenience was immense but at least there is no monetary loss but when finally we got the refund only 50% was recieved. It seems the hotel survives on advance bookings and cancelation charges a its main source of income.
