Taxi fares are very reasonable and best part is no bargaining.
A large no of points to visit, however the best points are not grouped together. They are in separate tour programmes. So choose wisely if you have less time to stay.
If you travel by bus to Mahabaleshwar don’t eat anything when the bus starts to climb because you may feel like vomiting due to continuous lateral swaying of the bus during the climb.
Thali at the punjabi dhaba near the temple is quite good.
Hire a guide when visiting Arthur’s seat point. There are about 7 points and guides can tell best about each point. Unfortunately sign and information boards are completely missing throughout Mahabaleshwar.
One can also visit panchagani while on the trip to Mahabaleshwar.
An excellent map is available at the Mafco outlet at the temple. This is a 3D map and gives a beautiful picture of Mahabaleshwar. Don’t buy any other map. This is the best.
