My dad and I have bought scooter at almost same time. My dad’s was Honda Activa and I bought a Mahindra Duro.
The first problem that I have faced in Duro that it’s base was very lower so as speed breaker comes the base will touch road and you may loose balance. The second was fuel efficiency, I got a mileage now about 35-40 KMPL not more.The third problem I faced was, it was a plastic body and till now I have bought mudguard for 2-3 times. Once when I was riding and suddenly mud guard broke down and it came ahead of wheels and I just fell away very badly :’(
Not only this every part of it is unreliable you don’t know which part of scooter will broke down. I have also faced type puncture problem several times. 2 months back I replaced my tyre tube and just day before I replaced it with new one. Even if you are riding at night you will not know when your headlight will go off automatically. In winter I face self start problem frequently, and many of the cons are there.
While, if I talk about Activa it just has one con, it is not so smooth and pickup is not that good which Duro has, and talking about mileage, body, maintenance everything is very good. I dont remember when was the last time I had gone to mechanical shop for dad’s Activa..
At last I will say that please don’t go for Mahindra Duro.
