I own a KUV 100 K8 petrol version and I got my car in February itself. Its fun to drive this car because of looks, commanding seating position and features it offers. However, I got a real experience of Mahindra when I happened to dent my side doors to a column in a parking of my office. Mahndra dealer decided to change the doors( I still feel that doors were repairable) under insurance cover.
I have surrendered my car on 19th April and even after 2 weeks I am still waiting for my car to be ready. Mahindra and dealer are saying parts not available though my dealer Silver Jubilee is from Pune, car gets manufactured in Chakan, Pune most probably all the parts are manufactured nearby factory in Chakan. Still the parts are not being made available. On the other hand, mahindra is trying all the options to take bookings. Mahindra is interested in sales and are not bothered about services at all. Its a total disappointment from an Indian company. Make in India which influenced my decision against Ford Figo which is a better car and of course service is multiple times better than Mahindra.
If you are planning to buy a KUV, please think before doing so, once sold nobody bothers at Mahindra dealership to serve you . Salesmen even avoid you once they sold the car. Servicing is pathetic. They give importance to bigger cars like scorpio, XUV 500 they clean it well put perfumes, put paper mats, etc whereas in KUV they dont even clean it from inside, they just wash it with spray pump. I would prefer to get it washed from outside vendors rather than free( cheap) wash at mahindra service center.
Mahindra, please improve your services and understand customer base you are no longer selling Bolero like rugged SUVs where nobody bothers about the cleanliness and preciseness. There are many cars in market as an option which get better services and handling. Only design will not help to sell cars.
