I was following all your reviews on this car while going through reviews on Swift also. But I zeroed on Logan due to the following advantages over swift.
I didn’t like the shape of Swift. (It’s my personal opinion - Looks like a frog on the road). Logan looks like a car (though it looks like a closed eye cat from the front)
Logan is a big vehicle which is important to me.(Swift is a small vehicle)
Nowadays Swift is seen everywhere. What about the identity I carry with if I buy a swift?
OK..I don’t want to narrow down further comparing with Swift.
Let me tell about my experience of Test Driving 1.4 GLX. It’s a good drive with good comfort and I agree with others about the distance from the clutch. I had to bend my leg(crossed) under the seat for relaxing. I didn’t try moving back my driver’s seat. May be it could have helped me not to bend it.
Indicator(left & Right) are on the opposite side. It’s not an issue as one can get used to it.
Clutch, brake and accelator are very close by. (FFI, I was driving Tata Indica)
Steering seemed to be a highly mounted and there’s no height adjustment for driver seat in the model I test drove. Of course we may get used to it too (hope that way of driving suits the ergonomics of human body)
Brake system is good. Passengers need to wear seat belt till we get used to the brakes are.
Dicky is too big. I’ll make it CNG and sell it after 4 years. May be a good resale as a taxi.
After test driving 1.4x, I went for 1.6 GLX as the dealer gave huge discount. Please make a note that it’s still a good deal for me even if I consider the 40, 000 discount being offered in coming 4 months.
Color - I like tomato red. Somehow I have to compromise with toreador red.
My vehicle is being delivered on 18th Jan. I’ll write another review after I start riding.
Price: 5.5 Lakhs (1.6 GLX) Total including registration. No Octroi for me.
However, I took accessories for another 50, 000. They include V-Cool Filming, Anti-Rust and Teflon, Fog Lamps, Music System, Body Colored door handles, Remote locking.
Please note that my vehicle is coming with Centrl Locking, Power Windows, Power Steering and AC also.
