Mahindra-Renault Logan

I purchased LoganDLE 1.5 in 2007 from PP Motors Karnal and was quite happy after spending 5.8 lac on a Advanced Common Rail Diesel Engine Sedan Car.

But the problem starts from next day of purchase like hard clutch, hard steering etc.

1. Gr8 Common Rail Diesel Engine from Dacia

Cons:

1. Poor Design inside

   
   




2. Very Hard Clutch (event my ambassador car has smooth clutch that logan)

   
   




3. Hard Steering in low speed and in parking

   
   




4. A/C Trips Everytime you accelerate or change gear (1st & 2nd gear incity driving)

   
   




5. Ventilator fails to keep cabin airlock (outside smell enters the cabin evenin ventilator close mode)

   
   




6. Cheap Plastics all over

   
   




7. Hard wire based Headlight beam adjust knob (very short adjustment range)

   
   




8. Door Noise (dont try to fix them)

   
   




9. Poor Acceleration in low speeds (a fiat padmini will overtake you in secondgear challenge)

   
   




10. No boot opener (had to install separate boot opener in Rs 1500)

    
    




11. Flat Seats (no extra foam in seats in back even a maruti 800 has goodcushion seats)

I complaint about all this to Mahindra but still I am driving the car with allthe problems, the major problems are Hard Clutch, A/C Tripping and Hard steering.

How can an auto company imagine a product without making it drivable from a human, you cannot drive a diesel Loganabout 2hr in traffic condition in summers your left leg will need aphysiotherapist and you will feel like driving an auto due to A/C failure.

I tried everything from email to call helpline and written complaint, but thefact is that after doing this exercise who will take the call, the same serviceman who don’t understand the problem or try to ignore it than all the effortmade was a waste.

I am facing a hard clutch and A/C tripping problem from one year in my logan butevery time I complaint to Mahindra the same service company "sterlingmotors gurgaon" takes the final call and do nothing, they only irritateyou by saying that there is no such problem exist and you are crazy man tryingto find some problem in a gr8 car.

I will not recommend this car to any of my friend or relative after receivingsuch a pathetic service from Mahindra and a poorly designed product.
