I once got a chance to drive mahindra thar in desert of jaselmer and beleve me if you are a ofroading enthusiast this is realy not a car for you.
as we started climbing the send dunes its rear wheels got stuck in send I tried rear difflock but nothing happened, we dig wholes in send in order to take it out of it so there is no doubt that difflock is nothing of use in this ofroader.
this ofroader doesnt have front difflock.
there is no hill descend control nor traction control .
the low ratio gear box is only for saying, if you put gear in a herry its cluch plate can be damaged.
the avrage is lower specialy if you are going for a offroading adventure you will need to carry a extra fule tank because at that tym its milage gets down yo 5-7 kmpl.
if we talk about the comfurt mahindra thar provides an avrage comfurt for passengers on the back seat.
