I have 2012 November xuv 5oo, really an amazing SUV made by an Indian company which has an international market. The XUV I have is w6 model, its a monque chassis first in its class in india. Which gives a car like feel but then also I feel there is some scope of improvement.
I have driven my XUV more than 35000 km in a year. I have been to Gujarat and Rajasthan several times, the car is good for long journeys and I get milage of almost 14.5 km per ltr on highway and 13 km per ltr in city which I feel is excellent when compared to Fortuner, Captiva and Endeavour.
The front seats are comfortable and stiff, but the middle row passengers feel fatigue on long drive and the third row is cramped with no leg room. The plastic quality of the dashboard is not premium which I feel has to be improved for this kind of SUV which is packed with features.
The XUV feels like car but dont drive like car, but whatever Mahindra is giving at this price is worth it! Its almost 10 lac cheaper than Fortuner. Basically I am proud of what Mahindra is capable of producing. Tata Safari is not in the competition also. Yes of course, I am satisfied with the car till date and Mahindra is improving day by day.
