Well for the uninitiated Khichdi is an Indian Dish wherein lots of ingredients are added and a delicious dish is cooked. Similarly MHN is a Khichdi for sure but very sadly not as Delicious as Khichdi.
Farha Khan in her Directorial Debut thought ?I would make a movie where all the ingredients of a Bollywood Movie are there, I would add Shahrukh Khan for sure as he is my very good friend and the heartthrob of the Nation, I would also cast the Hot Sushmita Sen but wont let her speak more than 5 dialogues in the Movie and cast her only for her looks, Cast 2 young and fresh actors Zaayed Khan and Amrita Roa to cater to the Young Generation, Take 2 Old favourites Satish Shah and Bindu for their Comic Skills and then make a movie?
She then took Friendship between India and Pakistan which is the hottest topic today, added the revengeful Suniel Shetty, added some nice songs with real good choreography as she is a master at it and made a decent movie.
The movie have some big goof ups, Kabir Bedi is addressed as the Commander-In-Chief of the Indian Army, which I guess everybody knows is the President of India and not a Brigadier Rank Officer. Also Shahrukh Khan chasing a Mahindra Scorpio on a Rickshaw aptly named Dhanno is very childish and in today`s era of Slick Movies is not at all acceptable.I am sure Mahindra Guys are suing Farha Khan for showing their product in Bad Taste.
Also when Zaayed Khan appears after his hair cut, It clearly shows that his is not a freshly done haircut and atleast 10 days old, I mean these minor details should be taken care of. Also how in this world a College can employ a professor without enquiring his previous employment which is done in Suniel Shetty`s case. Well if this is the real case today then definitely we are heading towards a near destroyed Educational System.
The scenes where Matrix`s style are copied looks awful. Well guys go for some original stuff. And if you don?t have something original then don?t copy yaar.
Amrita Rao in the movie very refreshing and bubbly and I guess she has got a Good Future in Bollywood. Zaayed Khan is also Okey-Dokey in the movie and has miles to go before becoming an Accomplishing Actor in the Future.
Shahrukh Khan for a welcome change has not Over Acted in the Movie but still for me he is the MESSIAH OF BOLLYWOOD. Whenever somebody is in trouble just call his name as he says? MAIN HOON NAA?.
The most refreshing part of MHN for me definitely is the credits part where normally just the names of people involved in the movie are mentioned, but Farha Khan found out a very innovative way of the credits.She has got everybody coming in with his/her placard mentioning the name like Jaaved Akhtar, Anu Malik, Abbas Tyrewala coming in.Aslo the whole of Sound, Camera and Production Team there.Its a nice way of lauding their efforts.But for me absence of Gauri Khan-Wife of Shahrukh Khan who is mentioned as Producer of the Movie came as a Surprise.
Maybe she didn’t want to come....
Overall it?s a movie which everybody can watch once with their family and is a nice change after movies like Masti and Murder which one would feel apprehensive going out with his/her family. For sure this movie would be a hit though not as big as KHNH, but we can expect some very decent Masala Entertainment coming from Farha Khan in Years to come.
