Want to eat Chinese? No problem. Today, you will find a chinese resto or chinese stall at every corner of the street. so much that you may not find so many chinese restos in China itself. just kidding.
Coming to Mainland China, Pune.
Few days back I along with my wife visited this restaurant on a weekend evening. As soon my car was stationed in front of this resto vallet parking was offered. I m impressed! I gave the keys to driver walked towards towards the entry fo the resto. there was this guy noted a table for 2 in his notepad and let us inside. A beautiful Chinese looking(actually from north eastern region of India) chick guided us to the table and made us comfortable. I looked around to see all the tables occupied and people chit chatting. The restaurant is not much spacious and all the tables are closely placed to each other. No music in the background. I expecting some chinese music in the background like the ones in the old chinese movies which are shown on Zee Studios movie channel. lol .
It was time to order food. To my surprise they also offer Beer(Yeepie!). I instantly ordered Fosters for me. No Kingfisher available.:(
Food Menu: there are lot of options and choices to order from. It took some time for me to understand what are the ingredients. I left to my wife since she is more knowledgable when it comes to chinese, Italian, etc. menu. Me only knowledgeable in alchohol ) . So, we ordered some starters, then noddles. The food is quite tasty. Anybody who loves the chinese stall food any not like it because Mainland China’s food is not at all Spicy. I think this is what is the actual chinese taste. So if you want to taste the orignal chinese, visit Main Land China.
The order arrived in time. no long waitings for food. the food was deliciuous and we awere enjoying it. But suddenly, my perception about Mainland China changed. My I was forcebly stopped from enjoying the meal. Why? Read next!
A small Aluminium piece in the noodles. I was surprised to see and teaste that. I didnt order Aluminium piece. was it complimentary? To check this, I called the waiter and showed and literally told him "I didnt order this" and asked him "it is complimentary?" . We were half done with the noddles in the plate. He immediately apologised for this and took away the remaining noodles.I handed over the piece to him. Now what? Do we order some food or exit and have food somewhere else?
Now you will come to know why I have given 5 points on "customer service" . Customer service is becoming a backbone in every industry. And MainLand China is already aware of it and they are trying their best to provide good customer service to their customers. Before we could come to any conclusion, the same choice of noodles were at our tables and this time with no flaw. I was impressed. Well, we finished the noddles and were expecting the bill now.
I checked the totol amt to see 1200 /- . this is for 2 adults. Yes, this is not a restaurant where you can go every weekend. They are expensive. Atleast for me. But wait. I do not see the charges for noddles.They didnt charge me for noddles.:)
This is the reason why I have given full 5 points to customer service. Firstly, they corrected their mistake for aluminium piece the food and then later they didnt charged for it. I m impressed:) .
Overal the food is good . the ambience is good. it is a bit expensive. you can go there with your friends and family. The A/c is not chilling. the temperature is well maintained.
I would say, if you are going there on a weekend eveninig, better start off an hour early.
