It was my husband’s birthday and we decided to go for authentic Chinese food. What better joint than Mainland China for Chinese food? I made it a point to instruct the waiter to sing a birthday jingle for my husband sometime while we were dinning. My husband had no idea about it. It was a surprise.
We ordered a bottle of wine and Crispy Konjee lamb & pan fried chili fish in starters. We ordered regular chicken fried rice, a chicken dish suggested by the waiter and Jumbo prawns. We were enjoying our meal and I slightly hinted at the waiter to sing the jingle(without my husband noticing me). The waiter called in a few more of his colleagues, gathered around us with guitars in their hands, and to my surprise, a cute chocolate cup cake lit with a single candle on top!
They sang the jingle and the look on my husband’s face was priceless. It was a very special moment.
