Why are you befooling, befuddling and confusing me-- one of the many great statements you will get to hear in this book.
For those who have read the Inscrutiable Americans, and are expecting its alter ego in this book... sorry !! The book seems to be a comedy at first sight, but as it is said (forgive the hackeneyed cliche), dont judge a book by its cover.
The book starts off just like a comedy but turns into something more, a critical look at the way things are done in India with all its corruption, its semmingly omnipresent poverty and its unbelievable people, and all of it from an outsiders point of view.. Anurag Mathur succeeds in proving that he can write not just intelligent humour, but can also write a good critique of life in India.
But dont get scared buy the serious picture I am painting, the book is a great read, and you will love the eccentricities, the fads, the lifestyles, the affairs and the business of the charachters in the story.
I would recommend this book to all who have loved Anurag Mathurs first book!!
