Firstly I am proud of my native city, because here have so many fantastic and beautiful places. Malampuzha Dam is the largest reservoir in kerala. Located my nearest place, 10 km from palakkad town. we are so many times enjoyed its beauty with my family . It is built post independence by the Madras state. Situated in the scienic hills of the Whestern Ghats in the background it is a combination of a masory dam with a length of 1849 meters and an earthen dam with a length of 220 meters. The dam is 355 feet high and crosses the malampuzha river. There is a network of two canal systems that serve dam’s reservoir of 42090 hectares. Another attraction of malampuzha is rock garden and rope way, around the reservoir of the dam are gardens and amusment parks, boating facilities are available on the lake. I heartly suggested all to travel and enjoy its beauty.
