I used to live in Tollygunge area and Malancha was my regular movie destination for a long time period.
The movie hall is a local type of single screen hall but if you want to enjoy a movie in a design kind of environment where people claps and dances when Salman Khan make a entry on the screen, then Guys this is the place for you. Don’t expect to get popcorn and cold drinks here, carry it with yourself. Best thing for smokers is that you can go out and have a smoke whenever you want.
Ticket price is cheap, last time I visited was 70 Rs ground level seats and 100 for balcony type seats. The seats are not comfortable.
Picture and sound quality is not good, it’s just you will understand what is going on in the movie and songs will be pain to your ear drums.
I would not say value for money, coz if you spend few extra bucks then you can enjoy movie in a multiplex. But again you won’t find trucks loaded with people coming to see a Sallu Bhai’s movie with enthusiasm and dance.
